Freakier Friday (2025)
I love Jamie Lee Curtis.
Honestly I just think she's fantastic in everything. She has great range - from Knives Out to Freakier Friday to Halloween. It was really nice to see her clearly just having a good time. She and Lindsay have wonderful chemistry and everything around them doesn't really matter as much.
There are some great laughs in this one and, while it doesn't do much to surprise, it's just an overall good time. I think there have been a few times recently where I've watched an older movie - such as the Other Guys - and have found myself lamenting that movies like these are a little bit fewer and farther between nowadays so it's nice to watch something that feels rooted in the early 2000s.
